You awaken blindfolded to a single question: “Do you want to join the group?” Penelope, the protagonist, yearns to become part of a secretive collective called the Fear Society—where every member must tell a story. For Penelope, that story is her own life.
The tale opens on an ordinary day at the park. You bring your son Tyler—innocent and playful—until he suddenly disappears from sight.
Panic follows as you search: scouring the playground, questioning passersby, and inspecting oddly parked cars. One man replies, “I’m waiting for someone.” In this unsettling world, even casual remarks can feel suspicious.
How to play Fear Society
- Search for Tyler across the neighborhood—parks, apartment buildings, and nearby streets.
- Watch for small details that shape the narrative: missing person posters, room rates, flyers, butterflies, and tabloid clippings.
- Interact with objects, letters, vending machines, photographs, and apartments to reveal buried memories and hidden truths.
- Decode clues from handwritten notes, photos, and subtle markers like date codes (hint: October 20th, 2016) to access secret areas.
